This site is run by me, R.L. Canty, through DigiManos, Inc. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. I’ve tried to keep it plain, because you shouldn’t need a lawyer to understand what happens to your information.
What I Collect
I only collect what the site needs to work and what you choose to give me:
- When you sign up for emails: your first name, your email address, and, if you sign up after taking the Fit Finder, your quiz result.
- When you contact me: your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.
- When you buy something: your name, email address, billing details, and what you bought. If you create an account, your login details too.
- When you browse: basic information about your visit, like which pages you viewed, what kind of device and browser you used, and your general location (city or region, not your address). This comes from Google Analytics, described below.
The Fit Finder Quiz
Your quiz answers stay on your own screen. They are not saved on this site. To see how the quiz is working, I count a few things anonymously: when someone starts the quiz, how far they get, and which path they land on. Those counts never include your name, your email, or anything else that identifies you.
If you choose to sign up after seeing your result, your top path is saved to your subscriber profile in Kit, my email service. That lets me see which paths subscribers land on. If you don’t sign up, nothing about your result is tied to you.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand how people use it. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information like the pages you visit and how long you stay. I use this to see what’s working and what isn’t. I don’t use it to identify you. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s free opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Email signups are stored with Kit. Every email I send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave anytime. I don’t share or sell my email list.
The Store and Payments
Orders are handled through the store on this site, and payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal, depending on which one you choose. I never see or store your full card number. Stripe and PayPal handle your payment information under their own privacy policies. I keep order records so I can deliver what you bought and for tax purposes.
Affiliate Links
Some posts include affiliate banners. If you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The company you buy from may use cookies to record that the sale came from my link. I never receive your personal or payment information from them. You can read more in the Affiliate Disclosure.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser saves. This site uses them for analytics, to keep items in your shopping cart, and to make the signup forms work. Some, like affiliate cookies, come from other companies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, like the cart, may not work without them.
What I Don’t Do
I don’t sell your information. I only share it with the services listed above, so they can do their part in running the site, or when the law requires it.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from emails anytime. You can also ask me what information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me at support@digimanos.com, and I’ll respond within 30 days. Some order records may need to be kept for tax purposes even after you ask, and I’ll tell you if that applies.
How Long I Keep Information
Email subscriber information stays until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Order records are kept as long as tax rules require.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website can promise perfect security, so I won’t pretend this one can.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has shared information here, contact me and I’ll remove it.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, I’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
